Basically it boils down to the different views the yanks and frogs have on race.
We're closer to the French, as you wouldn't describe Dele Ali as a Nigerian-Englishman, but the Americans are always banging on about African-Americans, Irish-Americans etc.

If you are born in a country live there your whole life and benefit from it then in my mind it does not matter what country your parents are from you should be accepted as a citizen of that country. I can also accept this for young kids who came to a country at lets say a young age limit of 10 years old.
Hopping country should not be accepted if you have absolutely no ties to the country through origin or residency from a young age, I remember a black Brazilian who played for Turkey about 10 years ago a brilliant player but about as Turkish as the queen .
I think Trevor Noah was just being funny he was not serious that's his job, let's be honest though there are many many racists who will think exactly the same thing .

Just throwing around the word racist doesn't make your argument or point valid in any way.
Technically speaking it doesn't only have to do with race, though clearly being of a different race than the team you're playing for makes it all the more starkly obvious.
Speak to an Irishman after a few drinks and bring up Tony Cascarino after retiring from the international scene admitted he didn't have a drop of Irish blood.

Africans playing for European national teams pretty much ridicules the entire meaning and spirit of international tournaments.
Most Africans I know despise this, some see it as stealing their best talent especially those born outside of the UK, undermining their native countries own chances in competitions and in effect cheating (which it is) others see it making a mockery of what is ostensibly a tournament showcasing the best every respective nations has to offer by having Western European teams outsourcing from other countries like league football.
However most fully conditioned brainwashed goys in love with their masters can't understand that 2+2=4, they're beyond help and literally begging for extinction.
I can't wait for China to win the world cup with a team consisting of 100% South Americans, even the most retarded social sciences university graduates might possibly spot the flaw in that bent equation.
Teams like Japan, Korea and Nigeria however really need to step up its diversity, I simply switch off the TV whenever a team hosts players that are actually native to their country they represent, who wants to see that?

Right, I've looked into this further. It turns out he isn't a yank and he wasn't joking.
He's right though. They are African. We all know it. The real of test of what they feel they are isn't in who they choose to play for. Choosing to play for the wealthy European country you live in versus the impoverished African one you originated from is a no-brainer. When players make that choice though, what is the reaction from their peers? Watching Wellbeck getting booed by thousands of Ghanaians at Wembley, or Dele Alli getting booed by thousands of Nigerians in the same ground, or 5th generation Asians from the sub-continent supportingthe country of their distant ancestors against the country of their grandparents birth, tells you all you need to know about the true sense of where their allegiance lies.
